An independent nonprofit backed by Joe Lubin, BitMine and SharpLink has launched to lead efforts around institutional adoption of Ethereum. The organization will serve as a liaison for financial institutions exploring the network.
The initiative gives institutions a dedicated point of contact as they assess Ethereum. Its launch also comes as competition for institutional capital across the crypto sector heats up.
Support from Lubin, BitMine and SharpLink connects the nonprofit with prominent Ethereum and corporate backers. However, the organization will operate independently.
The group’s stated focus is institutional engagement rather than direct market activity. Its role will center on helping financial firms navigate their exploration of Ethereum as demand for institutional attention grows more competitive.
