What happened?

Robinhood is rolling out zero-fee crypto trading for eligible UK customers through its all-in-one investing app. The launch includes access to more than 50 crypto assets and a new AI-powered market digest tool.

Why it matters

The move matters because it expands Robinhood’s UK offering from traditional investing products into a broader crypto experience. For users, the company is positioning the app as a single place to access multiple asset classes, including more than 50 cryptocurrencies.

Robinhood is introducing zero-fee crypto trading in the United Kingdom, adding digital assets to an app that also offers stocks and shares ISAs, equities, options and futures, according to CoinDesk. The product is set to begin rolling out to eligible UK customers this week.

The move matters because it expands Robinhood’s UK offering from traditional investing products into a broader crypto experience. For users, the company is positioning the app as a single place to access multiple asset classes, including more than 50 cryptocurrencies.

The crypto lineup includes Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Hyperliquid, with access provided through Bitstamp, the crypto exchange Robinhood acquired in 2025. Robinhood said the product is intended to offer a transparent, low-cost alternative to UK platforms that use less clear pricing structures or wide spreads.

Robinhood is also adding “Robinhood Cortex Digests for Crypto,” a generative AI widget designed to analyze breaking news, market data, technical indicators and the company’s own insights. The tool aims to explain, in plain English, the main factors behind price movements in individual crypto assets.

The launch also ties into Robinhood’s wider crypto ecosystem in the UK. CoinDesk reported that UK developers can build on Robinhood Chain, a layer 2 blockchain built on Arbitrum, as the company continues pushing toward an all-in-one investment platform for the market.
