Trezor Says Safe 7 Funds Are Not at Risk After Chip Flaw Disclosure

Trezor and Tropic Square have disclosed a vulnerability in the TROPIC01 chip used in the Trezor Safe 7 hardware wallet, after the issue was identified during an audit by Ledger Donjon. According to the companies, the flaw does not put user funds at risk and does not compromise the wallet’s security.

The disclosure matters because hardware wallet users depend on secure chip design and independent testing to protect crypto assets.
