Crypto markets enter the week starting Aug. 10 with a busy calendar led by U.S. consumer price index data, several crypto-linked earnings reports and token-specific events. CoinDesk’s weekly outlook points to July CPI, due Aug. 12 at 8:30 a.m. ET, as the first major macro test for digital assets, alongside upcoming reports from Securitize, Gemini Space Station and other companies.
The inflation reading matters because crypto markets remain sensitive to expectations for Federal Reserve policy, Treasury yields and the U.S. dollar. CoinDesk cited ING strategists Chris Turner and Francesco Pesole, who expect a no-increase Fed path to support a more favorable cross-asset environment, while a hotter CPI print could bring yields and the dollar back into focus for crypto traders.
The macro calendar also includes U.S. producer price index data and jobless claims on Aug. 13, followed by July retail sales and the University of Michigan’s preliminary August consumer sentiment reading on Aug. 14. The report also notes that geopolitical instability, including risks around Middle East oil routes, could affect inflation expectations and interest-rate expectations.
On the company side, the earnings schedule includes Trump Media & Technology Group, Bitdeer, Bakkt, Exodus Movement, CoreWeave, eToro Group, Twenty One Capital, Securitize and Gemini Space Station across Aug. 10-13. Gemini’s report is scheduled for Aug. 13 after the market close, while Securitize is listed for Aug. 12 after the close.
The week also brings several governance votes and token events. AI Financial said roughly 6.9 billion WLFI tokens under original lock-up arrangements are expected to become fully transferable on Aug. 12, while Pump, Connext and YZY are listed for token unlocks later in the week. Conferences on the calendar include Blockchain.RIO 2026 in Rio de Janeiro and Conviction 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
