What happened?

Trump Media reported 9,477.16 bitcoin at the end of June, down by 65 BTC from the end of March. The Truth Social parent recorded $360.6 million in first-half losses tied to digital assets and pledged digital assets.

Why it matters

Trump Media and Technology Group’s bitcoin position declined in the second quarter as lower crypto prices weighed on the company’s balance sheet. The Truth Social parent held 9,477.16 BTC with a fair value of $557.1 million as of June 30, according to its quarterly filing cited by CoinDesk, down from 9,542.16 BTC at the end of March.

The figures matter because Trump Media has made digital assets part of its corporate strategy, leaving its reported results exposed to crypto market movements. The company recorded $360.6 million in losses on digital assets and digital assets pledged during the first half of 2026, with CoinDesk noting that much of the hit was unrealized.

Trump Media’s Cronos position also lost value. Its holdings stayed unchanged at about 756.1 million CRO tokens, but their fair value fell to $40.6 million from $68 million at the end of 2025.

A large portion of the company’s bitcoin was committed as collateral. As of June 30, Trump Media had 4,260.73 BTC pledged against convertible notes and another 2,077.34 BTC pledged for its bitcoin options strategy.

The results came shortly after Trump Media, Crypto.com and Yorkville Acquisition ended plans to form Trump Media Group CRO Strategy, a publicly traded company intended to build a large CRO treasury. The companies cited prevailing market conditions and shifting business and stakeholder priorities, and they also abandoned a separate partnership under which Crypto.com would have serviced certain planned Yorkville America exchange-traded funds.
